Rolf Kleinhans, M.B.A. Broker/Realtor

Business, Credentials and Experience Stuff:

Rolf Kleinhans has over twenty-five years of business experience in the retail and real estate industries. He has expertise in, marketing, leasing, sales and acquisitions, valuations and appraisal, financing, management and property development. He has an impressive list of credentials to go with that experience.

Before venturing out on his own, Mr. Kleinhans held the position of Vice President, Asset Management and Development in the real estate investment division of The Prudential Insurance Company of America. He has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker since 1985; has a valid Califonia Appraisal License; obtained an MBA from the UCLA Graduate School of Management in 1984, with an emphasis in real estate and finance. He also earned a BA in Geography/Ecosystems from UCLA in 1980.

In addition to assisting individual clients, Mr. Kleinhans has provided Real Estate Services for many institutional firms. These firms include: The Prudential Insurance Company of America, The Prudential Realty Group, Citicorp Real Estate Inc.; Mitsubishi Estate Company of New York, Inc.; Meiji Life Insurance Company, Cascadia Properties, Click Software Inc., Pillsbury Madison & Sutro; Sheppard, Mullin Richter & Hampton; and Grubb & Ellis.

Mr. Kleinhans served on the Board of Directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association, and had active memberships in the Central City Association and Los Angeles Headquarters City Association. Mr. Kleinhans is currently serving as Chairman on the Board of Realtor's Finance and Building Committee and is on another term as a Director. Mr. Kleinhans has been named as Nevada County's Realtor of the Year for 2005; served as President of the Nevada County Board of Realtors in 2002 and has served as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer in past years. He has been involved as a Director of the Nevada County Board of Realtors since 1997. He has served at the state level of the California Association of Realtors as a Director. Mr. Kleinhans is involved with the Nevada County Economic Resource Council serving as the Realtor's representative on the Board of Directors, and is a member of the Executive Board.

Mr. Kleinhans had also held the appointed position of Chairman, Nevada County User Fee Committee, with oversight of all governmental agencies charging public fees, and is currently serving in the appointed position of Vice Chairman on the County's Sewage Disposal Technical Advisory Group.

Personal Stuff

On a personal note, Rolf loves being outdoors living the Nevada County Lifestyle. He enjoys boating, cycling, skiing, hiking, reading, gardening, remodeling houses, his dogs, and model trains. He is fluent in Swiss German and lives in Nevada County with his wife, Karin, and boys.
